Mothers and Daughters or is it Mothers VS. Daughters??? The bond between Moms and their little girls has always been a difficult relationship. I haven't experienced with too much turmoil with mine yet but it will come.

I know there have been times that my Mom and I have driven one another CRAZY!! We don't see eye to eye all of the time. In fact, there have been times when we didn't have a relationship. We come from a long line of hard headedness!!

Little girls grow up, change, develope and at some point have to figure out who they are. Girls have to find a way to deal with all of the changes that are going on with them and it can be overwhelming. Even for the Mom, especially for the Moms! And let's not mention that there will be "certain times" that NOBODY understands them!!!

Moms just want to help. It's our job to "make things better". It's what we do!!! Sometimes we need to stand back and let the girls "figure" it out for themselves. It is our job to make sure our daughters know that we are always there for them to catch them when they fall.

I remember a number of years ago, we moved to Duncan, Ok. from Dumas, TX. I called my Mom crying about not being able to find a house, my husband was at work, I had a little boy and we were stuck in a hotel room.
Mom never babied us. She loved us but never "babied". I was informed to get up and stop whinning. Go find yourself a place, no one is going to do it for you.
Needless to say, I minded my mom.
If I need something sewn or want to vent...MOM. We call one another on Mondays during Dancing With the Stars.
But for the Moms who are having a hard time seeing you daughter grow up and go through her "growing pains"
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Dreama,
That was a great post! I love the pictures. Your mom looks just the same as she did to me when we were in Jr. High!!

Julie

Julie: Thanks! Mom never changes except for the hair color!! Thanks to Miss Clairol!!
There isn't a whole lot to do with these templates. I want to learn how to make it pretty but haven't taken the time.
Hope your week goes well and see you on Friday!
Amanda is blessed to have you as a mom. I am blessed too to have you as a.. well I'm not really sure what you are but I glad you're it. lol.
you're the bestest momma ever!! i love you.
Dreama,
Thanks for stopping by my space and commenting on the Z-28 picture. As you can see in some of those old pics, I had very curly hair. Maybe one day I'll scan the one of me, wearing a ball cap, right after riding around with the T-tops off. I was having to blow dry my hair with the old pull and stretch method to try and be in style (long hair). After that ride, the wind made quite the bush out of my locks (with only the portion below the base of the cap sticking [bushing] out). It may take a while before I'm brave enough to bear that to the whole world.
By the way, I enjoyed reading the post about your mom. I miss mine, and know that should she still be alive, I would willingly lay my head in her lap and tell her about my problems.
Be blessed,
Dale
