Can't wait

I can't wait until 7:00pm!!! Tonight is the final night for the dancing and tomorrow the winner will be announced! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! Since Sabrina isn't on there anymore my new choice as winner is....Mel B. Don't get me wrong, Helio and Marie did great but Mel is the better dancer! So please vote! The Osmonds have a HUGE family!!!

We also started back to school today, that was so hard considering we have been off for about a week and a half. But we only have 4 weeks until Christmas break so that is a BLESSING!!

I love Christmas!!! I love waking up and watching the kids open their gifts on Christmas morning. The looks on their face is priceless. I enjoy picking out things for them and surprising them! It was probably more fun when they were little. I'm not sure if it's more fun for them or me.

Michael helps every year hanging the lights on the house. Even though he's 19, he still had to do it!! I couldn't allow him to miss his yearly duty! You know, tradition and all. It is also a tradition fighting the timers that the lights are on, it never fails, I can't get them synchronized. Although the timers are set at the same time, it doesn't work!

I totally enjoy decorating the house inside and out! I'm a "light" person! I would keep them up all year long if my husband would go for it. If I could get away with it, I'd hang them in my room!!
Of course, the real reason is the birth of Jesus Christ. The song Mary, did you know is probably one of my favorite songs. Did she know?? Did she know that her little baby would be so important, so praised, so holy but also so controversial and despised?

It's so weird, You mention His name and people have so many different reactions.

Hey, did I mention that the Cowboys and AGGIES both won over the holidays??? Gotta go dance, if Mel doesn't win, I may have to boycott next year!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

“As the years pass, I am coming more and more to understand that it is the common, everyday blessings of our common, everyday lives for which we should be particularly grateful. They are the things that fill our lives with comfort and our hearts with gladness — just the pure air to breathe and the strength to breathe it; just warmth and shelter and home folks; just plain food that gives us strength; the bright sunshine on a cold day; and a cool breeze when the day is warm.”
-Laura Ingalls Wilder

God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving!

My Thankful List

We have so many things to be Thankful for this year!! Next week I will be cooking turkey, dressing and all the fixin's. It will probably be just our "little" family but that is fine. I look at my kids and thank God for all He is doing in them!

I look at my husband and I'm so thankful that he is now a Godly husband, lets just hope he remembers the "little" things he has decided to do for his wife.

I am a LIST person! If it's not on my list, then it doesn't get done. I have 3 list sitting beside right now as I prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I don't function if I don't have a list.

So, I thought I would be totally self indulgent and make a list of what I am thankful for. I know that most of the time throughout the year that I forget to do this and need to ask God's forgiveness for being inconsiderate.

Black sheep of the family

A few weeks ago I talked about telling my sisters about Christ. I mentioned that they really didn't like to be around us because they feel like we are "judging" them and that I didn't know if they were really saved. I wrote them a heart felt letter and sent them a book by Mark Cahill called One heartbeat away.

Well, I got my answer. The youngest sister emailed wondering why she didn't get a package in the mail like the other sisters, it's in the mail somewhere. Anyway, I sent her the letter that I mailed and now I have made them all mad.

It seems as though when you feel God telling you to do something that involves family it turns out so badly. I used the Way of the Master approach , ten commandments and did it lovingly, or so I thought.

I mentioned that people create a god to suite themselves and their needs...boy, that went over like a lead balloon.

I got tickled that it didn't take long for them to start calling each other and compare notes.

I am and have always been the black sheep of the family. The sisters and mom just don't get it. I drew the line in the sand, either your for Jesus or your against Him.

Excerpt from letter that I received back:

We do all have different lives and different ways that we each connect to our Lord, whoever we believe that may be. I know it is your responsibility to try and recruit as many people as you can to follow Christ but at the same time we all know that there is nothing that you could say to any of us that we would not somehow take defensively because we feel as if we are being judged at all times when we are around you guys. None of us do bad things….some of us drink wine, some of us watch shows that have sexy scenes, we may read a dirty book from time to time but for us it is living life, with our Lord in it everyday as well. When you pass and come back to let me know that I am not on the list to get into heaven then I will have a problem with my life and do some things differently but I am very happy with myself, my family and my relationship with GOD…yes the one and only..we know who this is.

Guess God is into drinking, porn and smut??? When I pass and come back(?) to let her know that she's not on the list to get into heaven...it will be too late!

When did sharing Jesus and what He is about become judging??? When did worrying about your families salvation become something bad?

Am I not allowed to ask someone if they are saved? Will I see you in heaven? I don't want to have my family say "Why didn't you tell me??" and then it be too late. Most of all, you want your family with you in heaven.

So tonight when you say your prayers, remember Rhonda, Robin, Summer and even Phyllis.

I'm kind of thinking "duct tape" is now the answer!!!
